Stephanie D. Riggs
Stephanie was born and raised in Klamath Falls. She graduated Klamath Union High School in 1965 with a scholarship to Southern Oregon College (now Southern Oregon University). She graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education. After teaching many years, raising the children, and holding public offices in Jackson County, she took a job with Pacific Power and Light Company as an energy consultant. Then she moved to San Rafael to work in a mortuary.

She renewed her teaching credentials after returning to her home town, and taught at Mills Elementary School for six years. In 1995 she began serving her apprenticeship and completed the testing required by the Oregon State Mortuary and Cemetery Board to become an Oregon licensed Funeral Service Practitioner. "I have found my niche! What I do now is not a job. It is a rewarding gift that I can give to others. I am proud to be a funeral director."
